Product Description

To deal effectively with the threat posed by improvised explosive and incendiary devices, land-mines and other military ordnance, tEODor can be equipped with a wide range of special devices and tools."

Approach
Ballistic opening techniques using on-board firing devices like the single-shot disrupter or water cannon provide the operator with a safe and effective option.    At the push of a button, the manipulator arm takes one of the standard tools from the on-board tool compartment using one of a range of computer-driven pre-set movement combinations.

Inspection
Complementing a comprehensive line-up of special camera equipment, the use of X-ray photography enables conclusions to be drawn concerning the interior composition of suspicious objects, providing vital decision making data.

Deactivation

The integration of special devices enables tEODor to operate both stand-off and proximity ballistic systems, Moreover, its heavy carrying capacity enables the manipulator to engage in parallel operations. Developed exclusively for remote-control scenarios, a special freezing unit effectively deactivates suspected explosive devices.

What's more, tEODor can be equipped with a wide assortment of different accessories. In consultation with users and bomb disposal experts, we make sure that the selection is continuously upgraded and expanded.

Do you have a special requirement? No problem! tEODor's modular design and standard interfaces enable us to provide customer-specific solutions at short notice.

Training on tEODor is now further enhanced by the introduction of a fully interactive computer-based system, which allows an operator to practice realisticly without expense or danger.

The Basic Vechile
tEODor is a two-tracked vehicle featuring suspension road wheels and steel tracks. The running gear - an entirely new design - has extreme manoeuvrability (it can turn on a dime!), and the ability to climb gradients of 63%. Damaged or worn-out track sections can be easily exchanged. A special-all-terrain track for extreme off-road deployment is available optionally. tEODor is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -30?C to +50?C. The electrical components comply with IP65 safety standards. The drive and manipulator motors function on the basis of a four-quadrant control system featuring continuously variable operation in both forward and reverse. This means that the vehicle, and especially the arm, can be manoeuvred with extreme sensitivity. Automatically operating safety brakes block movement of the vehicle when halted on inclines.

The Manipulator
The 7-joint power manipulator, positioned at the front of the vehicle body, enables a maximum reach of 2,800 mm. With a load capacity of 30 kg, even very heavy objects can be handled without difficulty. Sliding clutches reliably protect the manipulator joints from damage due to overload or collisions. The lower arm features a telescopic joint, something unique to this class of vehicle. This makes it easier to set objects down, as well as to look under vehicles. To make sure that the operator can concentrate fully on the dangerous task at hand, routine functions such as tool exchange , folding and unfolding of the arm, etc., can be automatically initiated at the touch of a button.

The Control System
tEODor can be controlled by radio or cable. Meriting particular mention here is the new 200m cable connection with build-in automatic winding device. This prevents the cable from snagging, thus protecting it from damage. A special data recording system ensures secure, disruption-free operation. Important vehicle data, e.g. battery voltage, temperature of electronic components, and gripping force, are transmitted to the operating console at regular intervals.

The Visual System
If desired, tEODor can be equipped with up to six cameras. Apart from the standard drive, overview, turret and gripper cameras, a stereoscopic system is also available. This provides the operator with a 3-dimensional impression of tEODor 's surroundings, a substantial advantage when dealing with critical solutions.

The Equiptment
tEODor is equipped with a universal tool compartment for mounting ballistic systems or tools. The tools and ballistic systems are automatically set down and picked up by the manipulator. Up to six tool sockets (adjustable between +/- 12 or 24 volts) round off tEODor's comprehensive array of basic equipment. For engaging UXO and IEDs, both proximity and stand-off ballistic systems can be deployed. With up to six independently controllable ballistic channels, the operator's tactical options are virtually unlimited.
